Lienchi has practiced in Burma with Sayadaw U Tejaniya for three years, and now teaches his meditation style around the US at the Insight Meditation Society, the Spirit Rock Meditation Center, LA Insight, and Cloud Mountain; and with students internationally. A native of Vietnam, Lienchi was first inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings, and has ordained with Sayadaw U Pandita in Burma; Bhante Khippapanno in Riverside, CA; and Sayadaw U Tejaniya in Burma. DOUG MCGILL
Doug founded and taught insight meditation at the Rochester Meditation Center in Rochester, MN, from 2004 to 2020, and in 2019 he edited Relax and Be Aware: Mindfulness Meditations for Clarity, Confidence and Wisdom, by Sayadaw U Tejaniya. Since 2013 he has published The Daily Tejaniya, a daily email practice message, and since 2020, he has led a weekly meditation meeting, Monday Friends, and taught online retreats in Sayadaw's style. Before turning to the Dharma and meditation, he was a reporter at The New York Times, Bloomberg News, the Asahi Shimbun, the Twin Cities Reader, and other publications.
